Best of 2015 – Aqueous

2015 was an epic year for Buffalo’s own Aqueous.  So much so that it’s hard to pick just one local performance for our best of 2015 series.

Despite a few unfortunate setbacks in the drumming department,  Aqueous has and will continue on impressing music fans locally and nationally, playing big shows and venues across the country all while continuing to grow a strong, faithful following.

2015 started on day one ( or the last day of 2014)  with a killer sold out New Years Eve set at Buffalo Iron Works:

That momentum carried into April with an awe inspiring Cake themed set at Iron Works:

Between gigs,  guitarist Mike Gantzer  sat in with a ton of touring acts this year including the Joe Marcinek Band and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong to name a few :

We were also treated to some special moments from a few Mike and Dave ( David Loss)  Acoustic sets:

The Summer kicked off when Aqueous teamed up with Dopapod to create a memorable, yet rainy Aquapod set at the Buffalo Music Festival in June followed by an extensive Summer festival tour across much of the Northeast, wowing festival goers ranging from Summer Camp to the Peach:

August started with another special treat for local jam fans as Aqueous opened for Umphrey’s Mcgee at Canalside:

That momentum carried right into September, headlining the Night Lights Music Festival:

And then of course who can forget the show NYS Music named the best show in WNY  with a two night Halloween Run at Buffalo Iron Works featuring a Back to the Future inspired set and a Wizard of Oz set on Halloween Night:

2016 already sees Aqueous picking up right where 2015 left off with announced shows with Twiddle on New Years Day and Papadosio in February.
