4th Annual Buffalove Music Festival – July 29-31 – 8072 Taylor Rd., Westfield, NY

This Friday, July 29-31, the 4th annual Buffalove Music Festival is returning to Chautauqua County at the Oxbo Campgrounds in Westfield, NY. The new location is just over an hour drive from the city of Buffalo, and 30 minutes from Erie, PA.

While Buffalove has always been filled with stellar local, regional, and nationally touring bands, this year’s lineup is stacked and looks to make the best year yet. There are also many activities on site and nearby to keep folks of all ages entertained.

What can you expect? Buffalove co-producer Brandon Haima says, “This will be a great year to come and see the best lineup we have had so far. It’ll be a great place to camp with friends and also meet some new ones.”

Here’s a short guide to what you need to know:

MUSIC:

This is a FULL 3 days of music, beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday with Ponder the Giraffe, and ending at 11:30 pm with Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad on Sunday, with 60-plus bands and DJs playing over 75 sets in between. Even if you get your ticket at the gate, it is well worth the price (ticket locations and prices below).

There are too many personal favorites from this roster to name here (see full lineup and schedule below), and I look forward to finding many more. There’s a diverse mix of jam, rock, electronic, reggae, and funk, with many bands incorporating their own multifaceted blends.

It’s easy to forget to find new music when we’re excited to see our favorite bands, but Buffalove really has the best of local music. With 3 stages and a DJ tent, there will be a little bit of overlap so give yourself some time to check out some bands you haven’t heard before.

THEME NIGHTS:

Nearly equally as exciting as the lineup are this year’s theme nights! You have to wear something, so why not wear something fun? Friday’s theme is “Circus,” Saturday’s is “Disco,” and Sunday’s is a very fitting “Beach Party.” Get creative, kids, because each day two “Best Dressed” winners will be selected and given a free ticket to next year’s Buffalove Music Festival!

ACTIVITIES/VENDORS:

Daily activities will include food & craft vending (featuring Buffalo Bazaar, a bazaar style artist, artisan, and crafter collective, supporting local businesses and giving back to the community); a Kids Tent with activities provided each day; morning yoga; and kayaking, swimming and fishing available at the neighboring state-owned gorge.

Spun Out Fire Productions will be providing fire spinning, yoga, flow & fire spinning classes, and Fire Spinning 101.
