We love finding old video gems, even if they aren’t the best quality.   This one is pretty special thanks to Mr. Nemo on Youtube.

For 40 years, this rare collection of footage has been virtually unseen, except usually among private collectors. Filmed anonymously from the audiences during the ’74 US Diamond Dogs Tour and Soul Tour, these often shaky and blurred images have remained unintelligible for decades to most viewers.

But now for the first time ever, these reels of film been restored and painstakingly synchronized with closely-matching if not exact audio. Here, we can now experience a taste of exactly what those shows must have been like for those who were lucky enough to have been there…

Filmed in Buffalo NY, 8th November, 1974, during the Philly Dogs/Soul Tour.

This clip features the songs:

1. Rebel rebel
2. 1984
3. Moonage daydream
4. Young Americans
5. Somebody up there likes me
